Though we’ve been graced in prior weeks by such luminaries as Mike Holmgren, Eddie Sutton and of course, blues-rock legend Stevie Ray Going-Going-Gone, I’m confident that this week’s “99 Times The Pain Megamix” from Jose Lima, will prove to be the most popular CSTB podcast in the series’ limited history.
And if not, hey, we’ll just cut him. Or give him a higher number.
Any chance you’ll resume the itunes feed? I heard the higher-ups there didn’t like CSTB’s characterization of Stevie Ray.
goobs,
not sure what you mean by iTunes feed. The CSTB podcasts can be listened to via Quicktime, or if you prefer, via subcription using iTunes. There have been occasional bandwidth issues but it seems to be working just fine recently.
re: Stevie Ray. Stevie Ray Going-Going-Gone is, as far as I know, a ficticious character. The late Stevie Ray Vaughn, however, I’ve not characterized at all. Surely I can’t be held responsible for the crazy, tasteless correspondence I receive. That would be like blaming Apple for Moby albums.
I mean the itunes subscription..I’ve subscribed, but it hasn’t worked since the days of Fast Freddie…every time I try to update (that is, to download any more recent episodes), I get an error message. Surely these technical issues should be top priority over at the CSTB home office.
sorry. I think you’ll need to re-subscribe. The URL has changed since week 1.
Ah, that’s the one. Cheers.
just discovered your podcast, with your guidance there may be hope for an old codger to regain some semblence of musical hipness. plus it gives me something to listen to while wasting my life away on the sportsfrog.com.
(the oakley hall cover of the old quicksilver tune is what hooked me. quicksilver was my favorite band when i was in 7th grade (about 100 years ago). who knew it was so tough to rhyme codeine?)
