We’ve already noted in this space that the current ad campaign for the Ratner-Nets is unusually low-fi, even by swampland standards — much, much worse than the one featuring an angry Willis Reed demanding the team can’t sell mini-plans for $100. That scared me so much, I didn’t buy tickets because I was afraid of getting someone in trouble with Reed. And the radio spots for the John Calipari-era Nets (“Welcome…To The Attitude Adjustment”) were slightly better, though I’m still not sure whose attitude was supposed to have been adjusted, the team or the coach.
So how’s this for a catchy slogan :“Come To The Meadowlands…Where A Six Point Lead With 18 Seconds Left Is Never Safe”?
“The Nets-We Sold our Team for Real Estate!”
“the Nets:Come See Jason Kidd–In A Suit!”
“New Jersey: Home of The Sopranos!”
