Japan Baseball Daily reports that Nippon Ham Fighters rookie SP Tomoya Yagi threw a 10-inning no hitter against the Softbank Hawks on Saturday night, before being relieved by Hisashi Takeda and Michael Nakamura. This was only the 2nd time in Japan professional history that a no-hitter was completed in extra innings, the prior occasion coming when Hanshin’s Yutaka Enatsu (above) finished an 11-inning no-no against Chunichi.
