Former Red Sox 3B Bill Mueller has spurned the advances of the Pittsburgh Pirates, choosing to sign a two year deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The White Sox had reportedly sought Mueller in the event Joe Crede’s back troubles continue to flare up.

The Mets have signed free agent 1B Juan Tejeda, who hit .291 with 14 HR’s and 82 RBI’s last season for the Eastern League’s Toledo Mud Hens.
