This truly saddened me. I admit that I haven’t followed pro wrestling for a while but Eddie was one of my favorites. Out of the trio of North American wrestlers who cut their teeth in New Japan’s lightweight division in the mid 90s (Eddie, Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko) he was by far the most charismatic. Overall he was one of those rare performers that could both dazzle the crowd with his skills and draw tremendous heat: great in the ring and great on the stick. He will be missed.
