Congratulations to Renault’s Giancarlo Fisichella (above, center) on his impressive victory in yesterday’s start to the F1 campaign, the Australian Grand Prix. Fraser Crane lookalike Rubens Barrichello (above, left) finished 2nd ; teammate and defending world champion Michael Schumacher failed to complete the race.
This event brought back found memories of the time I was invited to perform at the 2002 race. My hosts were gracious, the hotel suite, the very picture of opulence. Had I actually made the trip, I’m sure it would’ve been fantastic, but there’s always 2006.
