It would take far too long to catalog all of the Fox television network’s aesthetic crimes against humanity.  “The Critic”.  “The War At Home”.  Scooter.  The Fox Bots. Steve Lyons.

That said, the New York Daily News’ Bob Raissman reports that News Corp is preparing yet another salvo on the sensibilites of thinking persons.

As Fox Sports prepares to introduce its new host for the “NFL Sunday” pregame show, all signs point to Joe Buck being the guy to fill the chair vacated by James Brown, who bolted to CBS’ “The NFL Today.”

This would mean Buck would first work the pregame show, then join Troy Aikman in the broadcast booth to call a game.

Yes, as you probably know, Buck is already the Foxies’ No. 1 NFL play-by-play man. He also is the No. 1 play-by-play voice of Fox’s Major League Baseball package, which includes the World Series.

While Fox’s apparent move to put him alongside Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long and Jimmy Johnson on the NFL pregame can be debated as it unfolds, it definitely would magnify Fox Sports’ inability to develop its own marquee talent since its inception in 1994.
