…quarterly, gratuitious Buffalo Tom mentions likely to continue.
While the health of Fidel Castro remains questionable, Peter Gammons attended a Cape Cod League game yesterday and with any luck , will once again grace our televsion screens before long. I’m not a very religious man, but I believe if there is a higher power, He, She or It wants Peter to live a very long time. Almost as badly as He, She or It wants to see Steve Phillips institutionalized.
On behalf of SNY’s advertisers, I’d like to thank Billy Wagner for keeping so many Mets games competitive this year that otherwise might’ve seemed like the kind of thing you could safely turn off or flip to another channel. When the Mets’ off-season spending spree was justified in some quarters as an investment in Wilpon TV, I never dreamed the connection would be so tangible.
Dear CSTB,
Am I wrong to like Buffalo Tom, up to and (sort of) including Big Red Letter Day?
Signed,
Jonah in Atlanta
I liked them better when they were a Dinosaur tribute band.
Dear Jonah,
there’s no right or wrong here.
Eric – it’s that kind of musical elitism that’s bringing this blog way way way down. The Bodog board of directors won’t stand for it.
Is musical elitism the same as reviewer/consumer laziness? Let Me Come Over is a fine album and I’ll dance on j mascis’s coffee table in my flip-flops and say that.
for the record, I’d like it known that my next band is going to be called He, She Or It. First sleeve will feature a picture of the last (first?) person to have accompanied [email protected] on what you filthy American swine like to call “a date”
While I’m not particularly interested in seeing Gammons on my TV screen again any time soon, I’m happy to hear that is is recovering.
