So what to make of Gothamist’s Jen Chung characterizing a cell phone thief/rapist as “one gutsy mofo” because the crime took place adjacent to a police station? Had the perp been caught in the act, would Jen have called him “one stupid mofo”?
Previously, words like “desperate” and “cowardly” would’ve come to mind, but I guess tracking all the exciting goings-on in NYC (like, y’know, being raped at gunpoint) can fuck with the perspective a little.
