Hey, who knew it was illegal to bring a handgun on a commercial flight? From Fox Kansas City :
Former Chief and FOX Football analyst Bill Maas was stopped while trying to board a Northwest Airlines flight Wednesday morning at KCI carrying a loaded 9mm handgun in his carry-on.
TSA authorities alerted the KCI Police who arrested Maas at 11:17 a.m. He was booked and released and will have a future court date..
Maas is already facing charges in a July 7th incident in Peoria, Illinois when he and a female companion were arrested on felony drug and weapon charges. Maas had a loaded .22 revolver during that incident.
Strangely silent this morning is Fox Sports’ Jason Whitlock, who surely must be preparing a lengthy column decrying the rampant gangsterism of NFL alumni and football broadcasters.
(UPDATE : as it turns out, Whitlock did indeed have something to say on the matter.)
OK, if it were a middle eastern man who had a gun, he would be in the custody of homeland security and never booked then released!
Lame cheap shot at Whitlock.
The only black writer out there with some guts.
“The only black writer out there with some guts. ”
That’s such an insulting statement to black writers on so many levels. Whitlock has guts because he takes controversial stances on issues? That has nothing to do with guts, and everything to do with wanting to be noticed. Which white writers would you single out for having guts? So any black writer that disagrees with Whitlock has no guts?
Actually, Maas and Whitlock used to do a radio show together in Kansas City and there is no love lost there.
Hey Bo
That’s a cheap shot at all of the black writers
The big fellow can’t seem to grow up and learn to respect the laws.
It is not a game anymore and the penalty is more than 15 yards.
Let’s put this whole black writer thing aside and just thank God that Bill Maas will NEVER EVER be in a broadcast booth again.
Pretty stupid, careless or whatever. Do these guys think they’re above the law?
