Tampa’s ascent to first place in the AL East has commanded plenty of TV time and column inches the past few days, but given the Rays’ stockpile of terrific young talent, the franchise’s first taste of prosperity is not entirely unexpected. Baltimore’s respectable start (21-19 after Wednesday’s 6-3, comeback victory over Boston), is another story, however, one compelling enough for the club to have commissioned the video clip below (link courtesy Brendan Flynn) :
Kevin Millar’s an old hand at this being-a-jackass-on-video thing, but if the planets have aligned in 2008 for a salute to Wild Bill Hagy (rather than say, David Sequi), that’s not a bad thing at all.
