a) the Royals are on their way to losing 100+ games,
b) Buddy Bell will soon be unemployed
…at least one of the reasons for both of the above (though hardly the only reason) is named Ambiorix Burgos.
But I doubt you were wondering why.
On a day in which J Strell forwaded a Chicago Tribune piece that claims the White Sox are overtaking the Cubs in terms of local popularity, a 3-run HR by A.J. Pierzynski proved invauable in the former’s 6-4 dispatch of the Blue Jays. Jon Garland won his 8th straight decision, and Bobby Jenks picked up his 30th save, despite allowing a 9th inning solo HR to Troy Glaus, the Toronto 3B’s 2nd of the night.
Round Rock are beating up on Sunny Kim and the Sky Sox tonight, 10-4 after 7 innings. No sooner did I suggest that Joe McEwing (above) needed a new publicist, he has a 4 for 5 night with a stolen base. Super Joe’s hitting .297, with nary an encouraging word from local arts weeklies or underappreciated bloggers.
Kim looks pretty different out of uniform. If I was her, I’d suggest the Sky Sox soak the balls.
