From the Houston Chronicle’s Joseph Durate :
Astros second baseman Kaz Matsui is expected to miss four or five days after being diagnosed with a condition known as anal fissure.
Matsui, who returned to central Florida on Monday night, will go through individual workouts at the team facility but will not play until at least Friday. Doctors have prescribed a different medication to help alleviate the problem.
The Star reports Armando Benitez is taking his 289 career saves and unusually squeaky voice to the Blue Jays’ camp, having signed a minor league contract Tuesday. Earlier today, Chien-Ming Wang tossed 3 and two-thirds scoreless innings (2 K’s, 2 walks, 1 hit) against the Jays, with the Yankees currently leading, 5-0 in the last of the 5th. Anyone who thinks guys look smarter in glasses hasn’t checked out Kyle Farnsworth lately.
Um, the anal fissue link is broken. But please don’t fix it.
sorry, I had to fix it. Dr. C. Everett Koop insisted.
