ESPN’s Peter Gammons reported on this afternoon’s “Baseball Tonight” (since confirmed by other sources) that the Oakland A’s and manager Ken Macha (above) were unable to resolve their differences during contract talks.
Though I keep hearing Ron Washington’s name, it does seem just a little sad that Art Howe won’t have an opportunity to be interviewed and light up the room.
