It does seem a shame we’re getting the book before the made for cable movie, but at least the New York Daily News’ Joanna Molloy had the tenacity to get the boy toy’s side of the story.
“He turned and pushed me with a lot of strength to the bedroom, and I was in shock. He put his hands to my chest and pushed me into the bedroom. He pushed me onto the bed and jumped on me.
“We wrestled and he stopped. And there was this moment when the two of us were in the room. And I asked him, ‘Why did you think I was gay?’ And he said, ‘Everybody’s a little bit gay.’ I was very embarrassed.”
I really can’t read enough McGreevy articles. My favorite part was this one:
“I pulled him to the bed and we made love like I’d always dreamed: a boastful, passionate, whispering, masculine kind of love,” he wrote.
Perhaps I am confessing my own inadequacies but how can it be both boastful and whispering?
I never had the desire to read the book before reading that little excerpt that you posted… Sounds like a gay spin on a romance novel and a good read for a long plane ride.
