Though acting A.D. Tom Osbourne refers to Bill Callahan’s “contract not being renewed”, said statements don’t address the 3 year contract extension Callahan signed in September. “You can’t go back and undo history” said Osbourne in reference to Nebraska’s blowout loss to Colorado yesterday, but the same can be said for for the contractual obligations agreed to by Steve Pederson.
Of course, Osbourne also acknowledged “change is disruptive, sometimes it’s expensive.” So perhaps we’re just being spared the thrilling details.
