..and in this case, it would be the Centurians secondary, just burned moments ago by the Craig Ochs/Walter Young combination for a Frankfurt TD pass. The Galaxy — easily the second greatest sporting franchise to have borrowed their name from a tasty chocolate bar — are leading Cologne, 21-14 with about 10 minutes left.
Columbia University fans will note that former QB Jeff Otis is holding a clipboard for Frankfurt. It’s terrific to know that being one of the most prolific passers in Columbia history = no. 3 on an NFL Europe depth chart.
I have little else to say about this scintillating contest, except it’s amazing what an adult will do for entertainment when the Mets are rained out.
Dude what are you talking about? Otis didn’t play in like two games over there because of injury. Turn off the hatorade.
actually, Steve, Otis got the start in week 1-5, but didn’t play against Cologne (week 7)or Amsterdam (week 9), but didn’t start against Rhein or Berlin (week eight) or Berlin (week 6), either. Otis’ injury is duly noted, but he logged plenty of clipboard time, too.
