(never has anyone looked so overjoyed at the prospect of carrying Ron Artest’s bags)
Lithuanian guard Sarunas Jasikevicius agreed Sunday night to a three-year contract reportedly worth $12 million with the Pacers.
Jasikevicius, who played college basketball at Maryland, chose the Pacers over Utah and Cleveland.
If he had signed with the Cavaliers, the 6-foot-4 Lithuanian, who helped Maccabi Tel Aviv win its second straight Euroleague title last season, would have been reunited with Cavaliers All-Star center Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Jasikevicius was the best man at Ilgauskas’ wedding last year.
