From News Corp’s modern day Mary Whitehouse in today’s Post :
Saturday, during NBC’s NHL postgame show, Rangers forward Michael Nylander casually spoke an obscenity. Afterwards, play-by-player Doc Emrick apologized.
Then, studio man Bill Clement apologized.
Thanks, fellas, but what Nylander said was to a large degree cleaner than what NBC has chosen for its sitcom promos.
At present, NBC has a grand total of 6 situtation comedys on the network’s primetime schedule. Since Phil is such a stickler for accuracy, perhaps he can elaborate and let us know which program was advertised featuring an expletive?
This is just misdirected, leftover malice from the deluge of CBS sitcom promos during the NCAA tournament. Only one network has Julia Louis Dreyfus bush jokes: the number one network!
I vaugely remember a recent NBC promo that went, “Don’t watch ‘Joey’ tonight– it’s complete shit.”
I could be wrong, though.
