There’s a fascinating public opinion poll in today’s NY Post in which New Yorkers are asked to reveal their baseball allegiances.

Some of the results seem credible (ie. the Yankees are more popular, Derek Jeter is the most beloved Yankee, etc.), while others are downright suspicious.  1% of those identifying themselves as Mets claim that Mo Vaughn is their favorite Met?   Would you believe that Jeff D’Amico scored just as high?

I can only presume that a grand total of 100 persons were polled and at least one of them is either related to Jeff D’Amico or has a very good sense of humor.
