OF/PR Dave Roberts was traded from Boston to San Diego, just days after the former Dodger expressed his wish to start next year. Roberts is expected to be the Padres’ everyday CF. The Red Sox received former Mets product, OF Jay Paton, along with IF Ramon Vazquez, pitcher Dave Pauley and $2.65 million in cash.
