Under what possibly circumstances might an established supermarket refuse to personalize a 3 year old’s birthday cake? How about if the child is named Adolf Hitler? The Lehigh Valley Times tells the curious story of Adolf Hitler Campbell, whose Nazi motherfucker loving parents are pissed a Greenwich Township, PA Shop Rite refused to decorate a cake for their son.
The Campbells turned down the market’s offer to make a cake with enough room for them to write their own inscription and can’t understand what all of the fuss is about.
“ShopRite can’t even make a cake for a 3-year-old,” said Deborah Campbell, 25, who is Heath’s wife of three years and the mother of the children. “That’s sad.”
Others, such as Anti-Defamation League director Barry Morrison, applauded Shop Rite’s decision.
“Might as well put a sign around their (the children’s) neck that says bigot, racist, hatemonger,” said Morrison. “What’s the difference?”
Eagle-eyed contributor Jason Cohen forwarded the above item and points out the LHT claims a local Wal-Mart has agreed to personalize a cake for young Hitler Cambell.
There is nothing I hate more than when parents try to be coy, or push their own agenda, or whatever, with their choice of baby names. Obviously this example is just egregious, but lesser examples include white kids named Malik or Leroy or something, or stupid hippie names. People’s own headupassessness drives me crazy.
This just wrong. I’m outraged that these parents refuse to take responsibility. I knew that I would have to suck it up and handle responsibility for all cake decoration and jersey personalization for my son, Stalin Forme. I take care of my kids.
Credit should actually go to Susan for that, my bad.
One of the other kids is named JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell? And the first commenter (a lukewarm defense) on the Leigh Valley site gives the name of Heimat?
Their next son will be named David Duke Campbell.
Why did you publish this tykes picture? He has no idea who adolph hitler was, nor that he’s being used by both his parents and the people taking issue with this. I hope someone steps in and removes the image of the child on this website and puts his parents on the hot plate instead.
I thought the photos were useful — people might’ve assumed the kid had a hitler ‘stache and haircut. I do think most readers hold the parents responsible, though if you’ve upset about the picture being in circulation , you might want to contact the newspapers who originally published it.
