Upon hearing the news that after the Indians’ latest snowout, Cleveland’s next series with the Angels has been moved to Milwaukee, SportsNet NY’s Gary Cohen exclaimed, “Are you kidding? Milwaukee?” To which Keith Hernandez added, “…the pioneers…why did they build a city there?”
“They don’t call it ‘The Mistake By The Lake’ for nothing,” grumbled Ron Darling.
Crocus Behemoth, above, was unavailable for comment.
Was Hernandez referring to Cleveland or Milwaukee? I think the question applies to both. I can’t understand why anyone would settle in the midwest.
given that topic was the early April weather in Cleveland, I believe that’s the city they were talking about. .
Also from the loose booth…paraphasing-out here.
Keith Her/His…”Yea, too many stats. Those guys have to stay out of the laboratory with their stats.”
Cohen…”There is a place for stats, but get out and watch a game once in a while.”
The failure of the Mets announcing team in this regard…is one of the greater disapointments of the “new Mets”.
