Justin Verlander’s complete game no-hitter of the Milwaukee Brewers tonight marked the following :

a) a career high 12 K’s for Verlander.
b) the first Detroit no-no since Jack Morris stymied the White Sox at the old Comiskey on April 7, 1984.
c) the first Tigers no-no at home since Virgil Trucks’ gem against the Yankees in September of 1952 (Trucks’ 2nd no hitter that season) and
d) the first no hitter in the brief history of Comerica Park.

None of which excuses Fox Sports’ dubious decision to show Todd Jones rubbing shaving cream all over Verlander.  Some of us are trying to eat dinner.
