Or somewhere in the neighborhood. From the Orange County Register. The city of Anaheim is scheduled to finalize its lease agreement with the NBA Development League by early next week, setting the stage for the arrival of the first development league team on the West Coast.

The team, which would be owned and named by a consortium of individuals, would play their home games at the Anaheim Convention Center Arena

Congratulations to F Marcus Fizer of the Austin Toros (above, right), who overcame a sluggish start to the 2005-06 NBDL season and was named the league’s MVP yesterday. Fizer, averaging 22.7 points per game, won’t be on hand to accept the accolades of Toros fans at either of this weekend’s home games against Fort Worth ; he’s just been signed to a ten day contract by the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, his second such NBA call up in the past month.
