Congratulations to F Marcus Fizer of the Austin Toros (above, right), who overcame a sluggish start to the 2005-06 NBDL season and was named the league’s MVP yesterday. Fizer, averaging 22.7 points per game, won’t be on hand to accept the accolades of Toros fans at either of this weekend’s home games against Fort Worth ; he’s just been signed to a ten day contract by the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets, his second such NBA call up in the past month.
