Magic Johnson’s latest eatery opened up directly adjacent to WFMU‘s Jersey City studios, causing the station’s Brian Turner to write excitedly, “Lunch Hour is now the Magic Hour”.  I hate to burst anyone’s bubble, but if Rory Sparrow’s ill-advised attempt to open a similar establishment — “Rory’s Rotisserie Grill” —-opposite Teaneck’s WFDU is anything to go by, WFMU’s staff might not want to burn any bridges with Au Bon Pain or Helen’s Pizza.
