Borat got the boot from the Marlins’ scoreboard last night after a Mets’ front-office official complained. The Sacha Baron Cohen character had been displayed as part of the Times Square backdrop where the Mets player who was at-bat was shown along with his stats. Borat had been an improvement over two years ago, when Marlins officials had a blood-soaked, graffiti-stained subway wall as part of the backdrop for the Mets players’ headshots and stats.
Who knew that John Rocker had found employment in the Marlins’ front office?
