Dead last in the AL in batting average, runs and hits, the Cleveland Indians have fired hitting coach Eddie Murray.

Since everyone knows it was the hitting coach’s decision to sign Aaron Boone and give Victor Martinez a big contract extension, I cannot find fault with this decision.
Perhaps mindful of the baseball truism that if you can sack a Hall Of Famer, moderately talented players with names that sound like breakfast cereals are always the next to go, Coco Crisp has hit a 2 run HR in the 4th inning off Mark Buehrle in today’s game at Chicago.
I might point out that Eddie has 2 tickets to Paradise, and who could need more than that?
And Floyd “Sugar Bear” Rayford is always ready to fill in for Eddie (although not his jeans).
