After leading the Twins to three consecutive AL Central titles, Minnesota manager Ron Gardenhire was given a three-year contract extension.
Gardenhire’s managerial record is 276-209, and he’s the first AL manager to finish in first place his first three years at the helm since Dick Williams accomplished the same feat for Oakland between 1971 and 1973.
