Former Mets starter Paul Wilson signed a two-year, $8.2 million contact with the Cincinnati Reds yesterday. Wilson was 11-8 with a 4.36 ERA last year for a Reds staff that allowed 236 home runs. David Pinter of Baseball Musings points out that Wilson’s ERA at home was almost 2 and a half runs runs lower than on the road, leading me to conclude that for the good of his career, he oughta pull a Dennis Berkamp and simply refuse to board a plane.
