I don’t suppose the Elias Koteas Sports Bureau keeps a record of which club from the Championship has shown the greatest tendency to play down to the level of their lower-flung opposition in the opening rounds of the Carling Cup aka Worthless Cup, but Queens Park Rangers have to amongst the bigger underachievers over the past decade. Monday night’s 3-1 defeat to visiting Port Vale at Loftus Road brought to mind many similar early exits, and if you’ve ever had the misfortune sitting thru one of these midweek torture sessions, you’ll not be so quick to pass judgment on the gentleman above (video link swiped from Championship Talk). Looks a bit like where I used to sit in the F block of South Africa road (where I can assure, I only used profanity on the occasions there was a soccer match taking place)
