Y’know, there’s no shortage of jobless football players that Mike Francesa could tear to shreds on afternoon radio, but few as delusional as former Giants RB Tiki Barber. Leaving aside Barber’s abandonment of his football team, burial of the organization and betrayal of his pregnant wife and bizarre persecution complex —- generally the sort of thing that doesn’t lend itself to huge public sympathy — Tiki’s insistence that his NBC broadcasting tenure was “fulfilling” runs contrary to the honest opinions of, y’know, actual human beings who watched him on television.
Only Francesser could make me sympathize with Tiki Barber during that fifteen minute grilling over whether he failed or really failed on the Today Show.
