That champion of the downtrodden, Sam Frank calls our attention to NOAH (The National Organization for Alibinism and Hypopigmentation) and its battle with director Ron Howard over his depiction of an albino villian in the forthcoming “The Da Vinci Code”.
For years, I’ve always hated the way our albino brothers are always the first to bite the dust in horror/sci-fi movies, so I applaud the strongarm tactics of this pressure group. But when they take credit for “no Albino villians” in 2004 motion pictures, they are conveniently forgetting about Neil McDonough’s role as evil casino owner Jay Hamilton in last year’s remake of “Walking Tall”. Perhaps because they, like many others, didn’t see it.
