This doesn’t really qualify as a Christian Laettner sighting, but it’ll do. From the Lexington Herald-Leader’s Brandon Ortiz (link swiped from ‘Lil Dime and I Heart KG)

University of Kentucky basketball fans have long wanted payback for Christian Laettner’s last-second shot that clinched Duke’s 104-103 overtime win in the 1992 NCAA East Regional.

A Lexington bank wants payback, too — for a $375,000 loan. North Carolina-based Branch Banking and Trust is suing Laettner in Fayette Circuit Court, claiming he defaulted on the loan, made in November at a Lexington branch, by failing to make a payment.

They are demanding the immediate repayment of the loan, plus $3,359.38 in interest. A copy of the promissory note filed in court records stated the loan was for business, commercial or agricultural purposes.

Surely Laettner stashed away enough dough from his playing days that he wouldn’t need to borrow that much money to buy weed?

‘Lil Dime also dishes the news that her T-Wolves have traded Nikoloz Tskitishvili to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for a 2006 2nd round draft pick.

Steve Nash had 14 assists and 21 points in the Suns’ 107-98 win over the Heat tonight, along with a 2nd quarter sideline siesta designed to rest the reigning MVP’s aching back.
