Though I might ordinarily have a tough time getting worked up over a war of words between two guys from 4-4 teams, the pissing match between Miami’s Joey Porter (above) and Denver’s Brandon Marshall just went into overdrive. After being called “soft” and liable to “mope and cry” by Porter after Miami’s 26-17 win on Sunday, the Broncos’ 3rd year WR returned fire today, as quoted by the Rocky Mountain News’ Lee Rasizer.
œYou™ve got to understand the situation. They™re winning. We™re going back and forth, and he won because they won the game, Marshall said. œIt had nothing to do with us going back and forth. He ran with it. And he ran with it pretty good. But getting in my head? Never.
œJoey Porter™s one of those guys, when you™ve got guys who talk a lot of trash and want to talk about people or put people down, they have their own insecurities. His insecurities, I don™t know, Marshall said.
œBut he™s definitely one of those guys who all those muscles are popcorn muscles. He™s soft. We hear stories floating around the league all the time about him, as far as him being in nightclubs, dancing with his shirt off like a girl, or in the playground getting beat up back in California, Marshall added. œHe™s one of those guys that no matter how big he is, he can still get knocked on his butt. He™s soft. And you can tell the way he™s talking. His nickname™s ˜Peezy™. I don™t know what ˜Peezy™ is, Joey.
I’m not totally sure what Marshall is alluding to, but anyone truly devoted to color coordination can’t be all bad.
