The Cavs’ bench came up big last night in Cleveland’s decisive Game 6 win over New Jersey — a result Dave D’Alessandro calls yet another example of the Nets’ “mind-boggling inconsistency and some puzzling disappearing acts on the part of their stars, interspersed with some brilliance by their captain and lodestar.” The Akron Beacon-Journal’s Brian Windhorst, however, caps off what he calls “the biggest Cavs win in 15 years” with the week’s most important tidbit ; Damon Jones’s attempts at making time with members of the Fourth Estate.

Before the game, Damon Jones was being interviewed by two beautiful Italian female journalists. The English was broken and I’m not sure all message was getting through, but Damon was engrossed and trying his best. He must’ve felt good about his performance, because once they were gone he proclaimed: “I can talk a cat off a fish wagon with my cool lyrics.”
