From the Los Angeles Daily News’ Tony Jackson.
Former Boston manager Grady Little, who was fired after leading the Red Sox to within five outs of the World Series in 2003, will be officially announced as the Dodgers’ new manager at 5 p.m. tonight, a club spokesperson said this afternoon. The announcement will take place at baseball’s annual winter meetings.
Little, 55, met with Dodgers owner Frank McCourt and general manager Ned Colletti at an undisclosed Dallas location earlier today, making him the only one of the five candidates interviewed for the job to be brought in for a second interview. McCourt made a brief stopover here on his way from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., for the meeting
And to think it seems like just yesterday (well, yesterday two years ago) that Little (above) was providing such rich daily material for ESPN Page 2’s Jim Caple.
i’m sorry, i just couldn’t read that shit. caple gets PAID for that right? and, presumably, pretty well?
i’m becoming more disillusioned with america every day.
