sad day. he’d apparently been bedridden for quite a while though so yea.
i just want to add cause i realize that might of been a little bit curt. but for anyone who is from el paso, not just if they liked sports, this really is a sad day. he was a friend to my family in the sense that he was a friend to everyone’s family…he was one of those cliched guys that somehow really did remember everyone’s name. he was a golf buddy of my dad (no doubt with tons of other kid’s dads), i went to his basketball camp (like every other kid in town), and he genuinely knew who i was the last time i saw him which was years ago. on one of the blog entries on the el paso times site he was cited as the most important man to ever live in el paso and not only is that right but he was also the most beloved.
