The Lions have signed Josh McNown to a two year, $6 million deal, just days after inking Jon Kitna. Said moves have rendered Joey Harrington (above) surplus to Detroit’s requirements, though the Detroit Free Press’ Nicholas J. Cotsonika suggests he might not really mind for the following reasons.
¢ He’s tired of having to break in a coach every couple years.
¢ He misses the West Coast offense. No, wait — he misses the West Coast.
¢ Like any Lions fan, he’s had it up to here with their not being able to find a decent quarterback.
¢ He just wants to do his part in creating a job in Michigan.
¢ He’s jealous of how happy Darko seems to be now.
It’s Josh McCown, and Cade McNown.
Either way, it’s just Jon Kitna plus 75 IQ points. Jeez. At least Shaun King is there to keep everybody honest. That Martz Quarterback Camp keeps getting more depressing.
