Former University of North Carolina forward Jawad Williams (abvoe) has signed with Alta Gestion Fuenlabrada in Spain. Williams was a member of the Tar Heels’ national championship team but did not get drafted.
On Wednesday, Amico noted that former Nets/Jazz/Suns/Globetrotters veteran Chris Morris, 39, last seen in this country during the Jayson Williams manslaughter trial (above), had signed a contract to play in Jordan. The same day, that country was rocked by hotel bombings that left 57 people dead. Perhaps this is just a tragic coincidence, but I’m sure the authorities are investigating every angle.
