With Wade Miller placed on the 15 day DL due to shoulder stiffenness, the Red Sox traded for veteran lefty Mike Remlinger earlier today, in exchange for RHP Olivo Astacio, most recently of Boston’s Fort Myers affilate.

Remlinger’s Boston debut versus the Rangers was inauspicous to say the least, allowing 4 earned runs on only 2 hits, retiring no one in Texas’ 5 run 7th inning. urrently tied at 7, Curt Schilling has just started his second inning of work in the top of the 10th.

(UPDATE : Schilling collects the win, Edgar Renteria’s walk off single in the bottom of the 10th scores Bill Mueller. Earlier, Renteria had committed errors in the 4th and 7th that led to Texas runs, bringing his total on the year to a whopping 22).
