Not since GG Allin’s failed bid to become senior class President at Hooksett High School has New Hampshire seen such ineptitude on the campaign trail, as the New York Post’s Kenneth Lovett explains (link swiped from Repoz and Baseball Think Factory) :
Some Rudy Giuliani volunteers bused here from New York City struck out as they went door to door in advance of Tuesday’s Granite State primary while wearing caps or jackets of the hated New York Yankees.
“Some people really don’t think,” said a person with knowledge of the situation.
“You’re in the middle of Red Sox Nation wearing stuff from their enemy. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
“Can you image if people were running around The Bronx in Red Sox hats?” he added.
Giuliani reps didn’t immediately return calls for comment
Since when is New Hampshire the “middle of Red Sox nation?” Just put a fucking pink sox hat on and make the morons happy.
“Since when is New Hampshire the ‘middle of Red Sox nation?'”
For a while now, I’d reckon.
I cannot claim that every Granite State resident is a Red Sox fan. However, given that WEEI/WRKO’s broadcasts of Red Sox games are carried on some 15 New Hampshire radio stations, I think this was only mild hyperbole on the part of The Post.
Weirdly, Des Moines, IA’s KXLQ is a Yankees affiliate. You’ll note that Rudy stayed out of Iowa.
Mike, get out of the house a little bit. You’ll see all kinds of neat things that are not on the computer, like girls and bunnies and a blue sky. Travel a bit, Mikey.
It’s actually more than imaginable–it’s reality. Since the Sawx won it all in 2004, sadly there’ve been more RS caps in the Bronx. And guess what? Those people have actually lived to tell the tale.
Actually Rog, I travel quite a bit, but surprisingly, New Hampshire is not quite at the top of my world destinations, nor is anywhere even remotely near “Red Sox Nation.” It seems like you’re the one that thinks the world revolves around NYC and Boston, so maybe you should try travelling a bit.
Also, just a note- your constant references to posters on here needing to “get out/get some girls/get laid” clearly indicates that you get none whatsoever…although your constant use of the word ‘pussy’ as an insult leads me to believe that deep down you are more interested in getting some serious deep-ass big cock penetration.
New Hampshire is not quite at the top of my world destinations, nor is anywhere even remotely near “Red Sox Nation.â€
Then why the hell did you make such a condescending, know-it-all comment about a place and a situation that you clearly don’t understand? Huh, Mikey? Huh?
I don’t constantly use the word ‘pussy;’ you make up facts as well as Bill O’Reilly. I said that Eric Gagne played vaginally in his stint with Boston twice and I was called out for it (but I was also right). I also took swipes at the Jets T-i-t-s guy so get your facts straight, momma’s boy.
Flame wars on CSTB?
Never thought I’d see the day. . .
right because New Hampshire is the “middle of Red Sox Nation”
i live in Connecticut, and we’re split basically 50/50 yankees/redsox
so this article is pretty much
“so this article is pretty much stupid” when there is nothing else to write about.
prettymuchcantreadorwrite,
No one said anything about Connecticut. But since you bring it up, CT borders states that are home to the Red Sox and Yankees, so it stands to reason there’s a good number of supporters for both. The same cannot be said of New Hampshire. I’ve yet to see one comment that provides a reasonable argument for why the Post’s description of NH as “the middle of Red Sox Nation” was inaccurate.
And the whole point is that this bozo who is still running on a dated 9/11 platform chose to forego campaigning strongly in Iowa and barely in NH and they didn’t bother telling the staff to not wear enemy hats while canvassing door-to-door. The Yankee cap thing kinda shows how ridiculously planned this man’s presidential campaign has been thus far. They may as well have Mikey the World Traveler run that campaign.
