With a little more the 5 minutes to go in Cleveland, the Browns and Bengals have hooked up for 89 points, 11 TD’s and nearly 1000 yards of combined offense. And while you might’ve expected Carson Palmer, Ocho Cinco et al to have lived to their half of the bargain, Sunday has been a breakout day for Cleveland’s Derek Anderson (5 TD passes) and the not-quite-washed up Jamal Lewis (207 yards, 1 TD). The Browns are leading, 51-38, and for one week, anyway, Romeo Crennel is the smartest NFL coach to have inspired a song by Greg Sage.
After today’s 35-13 home loss to Green Bay, Col. Coughlin’s Giants have now allowed 80 points in their first two games. Just imagine how lousy the defense would be if Michael Strahan hadn’t held out?
