There was a bit of a throwdown between Indy’s Troy Murphy and Chicago’s Tyrus Thomas last night, and True Hoop’s Henry Abbott is duly impressed with how the Pacers’ Jermaine O’Neal handled the situation.
Thomas takes his swing and then O’Neal enacts the role of the greatest bouncer ever. Just stops the fight in about two tenths of a second. That’s man time. Didn’t get hot. Didn’t jump in. Just acted the adult all the way. And the physical accomplishment alone was non-trivial — moving a motivated combatant the size of Thomas as if he were a child.
Though the video Henry linked to (shown below) didn’t quite demonstrate the sequence described, I’ve got to admit, I’m pretty impressed.
