Not only is XM radio the place to hear Mike Piazza’s buddy Eddie Trunk (what John Peel was to Mark E. Smith and David Gedge, Trunk is to Don Dokken), but the Satellite broadcaster has rescued Rob Dibble from the unemployment line, hiring the former Reds reliever/ESPN blowhard as host for their new MLB channel.

XM’s other new hosts will include former Phillies manager Larry Bowa, and former Red Sox/Rangers manager Kevin Kennedy.

Much as I enjoy hearing the likes of the Oxford Collapse, Todd Barry or Mastodon on XM, if they give John Kruk an overnight slot, I’m cancelling my subscription.

(from left to right, the sound of Mastodon, very very pleasing to the ears. the sound of Kevin Kennedy, anyuerism-inducing)
