Allen Iverson is leading the NBA in scoring, he’s had three 50+ point nights since December (including 60 last night against Orlando) and has a very poor 76’ers supporting cast with which to toil. We often hear of greatness being defined by how much better can a superstar (a point guard in particular) make his teammates. In this instance, I’m not sure Larry Bird or Michael Jordan could’ve done anything to will the likes of Kyle Korver and Aaron McKie to heights any greater than Iverson has managed. With Iverson, Philly might win 45 games. Without him, I’m not sure they’d crack 25. He’s an unrepentant ball-hog…and on that team, he oughta be.
