While rightfully hailing the crazy tear Moises Alou has been on since his return from the DL —- Mr. Pissy Hands was 3 for 5 last night with a two run HR off Matt Morris in the Mets’ 10-8 win over the Pirates —- WFAN’s Joe Benigno-Gazingo and Evan Roberts heaped abuse on New York right-fielder Sean Green this morning.

While Benigno argued that Willie Randolph “has to play Lastings Milledge every day”, Roberts  managed to put Green’s failings in a whole new perspective.

“He does nothing,” insisted Gazingo’s co-conspirator (above).  “At least when I’m playing softball, I might not hit, but I play good defense.  I can leave the field with a smile on my face.”

Given the recent circumstances that have rendered Jose Offerman unavailable, I’m certain Omar Minaya will review Roberts’ comments and put serious thought into making the broadcaster a late inning defensive replacement.
