War of the Burrito-eaters: The National Burrito Eating Contest Finals — Sept. 2 at 4:30 p.m.
Culminating two months of intense burrito-eating competition across the nation, the Burritos for Life national finals will be held Saturday, September 2, on the campus of Georgia Tech, prior to the Georgia Tech-Notre Dame football game.
Five national finalists – the greatest burrito-eaters in the nation – compete for the ultimate burrito prize: Moe’s Southwest Grill’s burritos for LIFE and a custom Moe’s Bourget 330 Python chopper.
The Moe’s stage will be set up all day on Bobby Dodd Way September 2, with the national burrito eating finals beginning at 5:30 p.m.
I’m sure you’re wondering what qualifies a chain like Moe’s to host the National Burrito finals, and with that in mind, I’d like to thank our good friend, J. Arntime of P.R. firm Golin Harris for bringing this contest to my attention. Otherwise, I’d have no excuse whatsoever to link to a Moe’s review from The Burrito Blog. Good luck with spamming the universe, Mr. Arntime!
