Singer Gene Pitney, the fourth greatest musician to emerge from the state of Connecticut (trailing Monoman, Clint Conley and Wayne Rogers, yet still far ahead of Moby) and perhaps the greatest Hartford product other than Marcus Camby has passed away at the age of 65.
Co-author of “Town Without Pity” and the Crystals’ “He’s A Rebel”, Pitney is survived by Vin Baker.
thurston moore? Umm, Seizure?
If you’d rank T.M. and Seizure ahead of Jeff, Clint, Wayne and Gene, you are most certainly entitled to your opinion.
Thurston has been far more durable than Marcus Camby.
