Painful Press Release Corner : Was “Whipped” Too Obvious A Title?

NBA veteran Doug Christie and his wife, Jackie, are ready to release their first book, “No Ordinary Love: A True Story of Marriage and Basketball,” June 1. The book — from the Christies’ Infinite Love Publishing — offers a candid look at their relationship and shows how mutual respect, friendship and monogamy serve as the foundation of their marriage.

Christie, a 14-year veteran who played in seven games for the Los Angeles Clippers in 2006-07, has been helping his wife launch JackieChristie.com, an upscale fashion and décor site. The couple also stars in the BET J reality series “Committed: The Christies.” The show, BET.com says, “follows the rollercoaster romance between NBA player Doug Christie and his controlling wife, Jackie.”

I’m just amazed there’s only one ghostwriter credited. You’d think a book this important would require at least a dozen.
